Based on the outskirts of the city – a taxi ride away – so may be why the Miracle Garden entrance fee was so very reasonable @ £10 per person, especially for Dubai’s prices! And it turns out it was worth the effort getting there as the park was brilliantly bonkers and we’ve never seen the like anywhere else – you have to see the scale of it to believe it!
Apparently there are 150 million flowers used here and formed into incredible giant characters, colourful arch walkways, pretty areas to sit and ponder, drink or eat under colourful canopies. The amazing feats of design and creativity has also earned the park a Guinness Book of Records entry for the World’s Largest Topiary Structure!
It is a riot of colour at every turn and is beautifully laid out with easy paths to follow that navigate you through the floral scenes so that you don’t miss a thing! Every year the exhibits and design change … when we visited we saw Disney characters galore, an Emirate plane, gigantic cats and elephants, magical little palaces to name but a few – all made of flowers – INCREDIBLE!
We have no idea how much work and up keep these perfect floral marvels take to maintain but it really was spectacular and mind boggling! We have visited Keukenhof in Amsterdam and at the time thought that an amazing sight of landscaped gardens and floral perfection but this place blows any magical garden out of the water as it is above and beyond clever and well worth the effort getting out to see it and experiencing all it has to offer!
